Mug Forge does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with the developer or with third parties. The app operates locally on your device and communicates directly with your Ember mug over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

Information Stored on Your Device

Mug Forge stores a limited amount of app data locally on your device to support app functionality. This may include:

• The Bluetooth address of the last connected mug, used for reconnect behavior
• Your heater safety lock preference
• Cached mug names read from a connected mug

This information stays on your device and is not sent to the developer or to external servers. You can remove this data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

Bluetooth and Permission Use

Mug Forge uses Bluetooth Low Energy only to:

• Scan for nearby Ember mugs
• Connect to and communicate with your mug
• Read mug information such as temperature, battery status, and mug name
• Send mug control commands such as target temperature, LED color, and related settings

On Android 11 and below, BLE scanning can require location permission at the system level. Mug Forge does not access, collect, derive, or store your physical location.

Network, Analytics, and Third Parties

Mug Forge does not require internet access and does not send data to remote servers. The app does not use analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking tools.

Data Sharing

Mug Forge does not sell or share personal data with third parties.

Data Retention and Deletion

Data stored by Mug Forge remains on your device until you remove it by clearing app storage, uninstalling the app, or overwriting it through normal app use.

Children's Privacy

Mug Forge is not designed to collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
